Taconova, a leading provider of intelligent comfort heating solutions, has launched a new production plant and warehouse in Boršov, Czech Republic. This expansion aligns with the rising demand for sustainable and energy-efficient solutions in both residential and commercial sectors. Taconova's continuous investment in production facilities, automation, and digitalization aims to enhance capacity to meet market needs.
Expanded European Operations
Since 1996, Taconova's primary European production plant, Taconova Production s.r.o., has been located in Velešín, South Bohemia. The new facility in Garbe Park, Boršov, will significantly boost production capacity. This state-of-the-art plant will manufacture high-performance pumps for heating, cooling, and solar systems, as well as modularly designed Heat Interface Units for domestic hot water and heat distribution.
Enhanced Logistics and Distribution
The Boršov plant will also serve as a major European distribution center, integrating production with distribution to streamline the logistics chain. This integration will ensure faster delivery of manufactured products and reduce the carbon footprint. Additionally, part of the production from Boršov will be exported to the US market, expanding Taconova’s global reach.
Strategic Location and Sustainable Solutions
Martin Marek, Managing Director of Taconova Production s.r.o., highlights the strategic location of the new plant: “We chose the industrial zone on the outskirts of Boršov for its excellent transport accessibility, proximity to the D3 motorway, and closeness to the Austrian and German borders, as well as our existing plant in Velešín.”
Sustainability was a key factor in the decision to partner with real estate developer GARBE. The new facility features green facades, heat pump heating, and solar panels, which contribute to energy savings and lower operating costs.
Rapid Development and Efficient Operations
From contract signing to the handover of the premises, the entire process took only eleven months, with production commencing just a month later. The new site covers an area of 9,266 m², including 5,170 m² for production, 4,096 m² for warehousing, and 1,262 m² for offices and service areas.
Future Growth and Market Position
The official opening and start of production at the Boršov plant took place on April 17, 2024. Over the next few years, production volume will gradually increase as planned. Cheryl Merchant, CEO of Taco Family of Companies, states, “This investment in a new production plant in Boršov is a strategic step to strengthen Taco’s market position in Europe and ensure long-term growth.”
