Paulig, a leading name in the Tex Mex food industry, has invested €10 million to launch salsa and sauce production at its Saue factory in Estonia. This strategic move aims to enhance the factory's capabilities, ensuring a streamlined production process for high-quality tomato-based salsas and sauces under the Santa Maria brand.
The Saue facility, operational since 1993, has been producing spices, spice mixes, and marinades for Santa Maria, serving over 30 markets. By bringing salsa production in-house, Paulig aims to innovate and maintain consistent quality, meeting the growing demand for Tex Mex products across Europe.
Rolf Ladau, CEO of Paulig, stated, "The opening of the new tomato salsa and sauce production line is a strategic move to expand our growth and solidify our standing as a leader in the Tex Mex category throughout Europe."
The Saue factory's strategic location offers logistical advantages, facilitating efficient distribution to European consumers and suppliers. This investment aligns with Paulig's ambition to become one of Europe's fastest-growing food and beverage companies and a leader in sustainability.
In addition to the Estonian expansion, Paulig plans to open a new Tex Mex and snacking factory in Spain by 2026, further reinforcing its commitment to growth and innovation in the European market.
