| Drum type rheostatic rotor starter OADAK The tank of the OADAK holds the contact drum and
the high-power resistor unit. After it has been filled
with oil, the oil is responsible for heat capacity, not
for isolation. The control and the emergency hand
-wheel are on top of the lid.
The rotor resistor, a fixed resistor consisting of
AEG-High-power cast iron grids, is in the oil in the
tank. With the contact drum the control shorts the resistor step by step. At the end of the start the star point of the rotor (motor) is on the contact drum. You do not require any further contactors. |
