In a strategic move to expand its presence in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE), Rehau Window Solutions has unveiled a state-of-the-art logistics hub in Cisnădie, Sibiu county.
In a strategic move to expand its presence in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE), Rehau Window Solutions has unveiled a state-of-the-art logistics hub in Cisnădie, Sibiu county. This €10 million investment, launched on October 10, aligns with Rehau's broader business partner search and growth objectives. The newly established facility, encompassing 52,900 sqm, aims to bolster the distribution network in CEE, catering to regional partners and clientele in countries like Moldova, Bulgaria, and Greece.
The logistics center not only houses an advanced warehouse but also boasts a sophisticated wrapping line tailored for the Rehau Window Solutions sector. This strategic expansion has generated 63 employment opportunities. Paul Chipriean, the Window Solutions Rehau Romania's director, emphasized that the Cisnădie center enhances Rehau’s commitment to nurturing its business in Romania and nearby regions. He added that the inclusion of a packaging line elevates the division’s service value both locally and regionally. With a legacy spanning 27 years in Romania, Rehau proudly employs 132 staff across the country. The firm reported a commendable turnover of approximately €50 million in 2021. Here, REHAU Window Solutions manufactures window profile systems and distributes them throughout Europe via the connected logistics centre. As part of the plant expansion, a new extrusion hall, a raw materials hall, a tool store, a lock room, a recycling hall and a logistics and order picking hall were built. The Śrem plant can look back on a success story since 1998. REHAU Window Solutions invests there consistently and strategically. With the current expansion of the plant, the company is creating additional capacities for the future at the location. This is the optimal basis for always being able to meet the demand for products from REHAU Window Solutions in Central Europe, which has risen sharply over the years.
