Compal Electronics, a leading contract electronics manufacturer from Taiwan, has announced plans to construct a USD 15.41 million factory in Poland to serve automotive electronics clients. This marks Compal's first manufacturing venture in Europe.
In a statement on the Taiwan Stock Exchange, Compal revealed an investment of over NT$500 million (USD 15.41 million) for the new facility. The company will allocate NT$77.70 million (USD 2.39 million) for land acquisition in Czeladź, southern Poland, and an additional EUR 12.29 million (USD 13.02 million) for construction. The factory is slated for completion by mid-2025, with production expected to commence by the end of that year.
Compal, which already operates an aftersales service center in Poland, aims to meet the growing regional demand in Europe's automotive electronics market. The company's extensive product portfolio includes handheld devices, wearable gadgets, laptops, desktops, IoT applications, servers, and healthcare equipment.
