This acquisition will integrate Artemis into Smurfit Kappa’s extensive network of Bag-in-Box operations across Europe. The move aims to strengthen Smurfit Kappa's presence and customer base in Eastern Europe, while enhancing its product portfolio and innovation capabilities within the Bag-in-Box sector.

Smurfit Kappa, a leading provider of packaging solutions, has successfully completed a major investment project in Poland, resulting in a substantial expansion of its Pruszków corrugated plant.
Smurfit Kappa, a leading provider of packaging solutions, has successfully completed a major investment project in Poland, resulting in a substantial expansion of its Pruszków corrugated plant. With this expansion, the plant becomes Smurfit Kappa's largest facility in Poland and is touted as one of Europe's most advanced and technologically sophisticated packaging plants. The €40 million investment encompasses the installation of cutting-edge corrugator machinery and a comprehensive range of converting equipment. Additionally, the plant has been equipped with a state-of-the-art finished goods warehouse capable of accommodating over 12,000 pallets. This significant investment is expected to double the plant's production output, paving the way for increased operational efficiency. Moreover, the expansion project is set to create approximately 50 new job opportunities, bringing the total employment at the Pruszków location to more than 250 staff members. This not only strengthens the local workforce but also contributes to the economic growth of the region. During the official opening event, Jacek Nieweglowski, CEO of Smurfit Kappa North-East Europe, expressed his satisfaction, stating, "We are delighted to officially unveil the new manufacturing plant here in Pruszków.
