Primat Logistika, a prominent Croatian company specializing in the furnishing of business premises, has transformed its approach to waste management by installing an Orwak multi-chamber baler. This strategic move has enabled them to not only reduce waste disposal costs but also generate revenue by sorting, compacting, and selling recyclable materials directly from their source.
Leveraging over 30 years of expertise in producing, designing, and installing a range of products from archival and storage systems to security and industrial equipment, Primat Logistika is recognized for its commitment to high-quality services and innovative technologies. The installation of the baler came as a solution to manage large volumes of bulky cardboard and plastic foil that were accumulating in their warehouse and hindering daily operations.
After engaging with Interzero, the official distributor of Orwak in Croatia, Primat Logistika opted for the Orwak 5070 HDC vertical multi-chamber press, intrigued by its ORWAK CONNECT feature. This technology enables M2M communication for online monitoring and tracking of bale counts, significantly streamlining their operational processes. The ability to concurrently bale cardboard and plastic, the primary waste fractions, has not only facilitated a new revenue stream but also enhanced spatial efficiency within their warehouse facilities. Ilija Pranjić, Head of Logistics at Primat Logistika, highlighted the dual benefits of cost-saving and improved workspace utilization as key outcomes of this initiative.
