Scandi Standard, a leading Nordic poultry producer, has finalized the acquisition of a state-of-the-art poultry processing facility in Lithuania. This strategic move is anticipated to enhance the company's annual production capacity by 20,000 to 25,000 metric tons, commencing in 2025. The Lithuanian facility will bolster Scandi Standard's ready-to-cook segment, enabling the company to better serve price-sensitive markets and meet stringent raw material standards for its ready-to-eat products. CEO Jonas Tunestål emphasized that this acquisition is a significant step toward strengthening the company's overall business and achieving its financial targets. In addition to the €23.5 million purchase price, Scandi Standard plans to invest an additional €5-7 million in working capital and new equipment during the initial ramp-up period. The company aims to gradually build poultry farming capacity to increase the self-sufficiency of the processing plant. This expansion aligns with Scandi Standard's strategy to enhance its production capabilities and market reach, reinforcing its position as a leading producer of chicken-based food products in the Nordic region and Ireland.
