According to Maria Yang, Portwell’s product marketing manager, PCOM-B657VGL is powered by 11th Generation Intel Xeon W-11000E, Core i3/i5/i7 and Celeron processors (formerly Tiger Lake-H) and integrated high performance Intel UHD graphics to provide up to 65% higher multi-thread computing performance and up to 70% faster graphic performance with the support of PCIe x16 Gen 4 feature, compared to predecessor. Nieuw Vennep, Netherlands, Mitwell, a Portwell subsidiary (www.portwell.eu) & world-leading innovator for Industrial PC (IPC) and embedded computing solutions, and associate member of Intel® Internet of Things (IoT) Solutions Alliance - today announces, three new members of the Box PC series KUBER - a compact-sized, fan-less embedded system, featuring the latest 14nm Intel® Atom (Apollo Lake) processor series. The KUBER series is housed in a rugged, fan-less case and features the latest Intel® Celeron® processor N3350 with 4GB (LPDDR4 2400) memory. For applications with high demand for wide temperature support (-40°C to +70°C) the KUBER series can be optionally equipped with the Intel® E3930 processor, delivering similar performance as the N3350 but a Tjunction of 110°C. The KUBER series benefits from about 30% more computing power and 45% more graphics performance, compared to the previous generation and offers powerful Intel Gen9 graphics, with up to 18 execution units and allowing the connection of 4k displays via the display port. In addition, the fan-less KUBER series operates with a Thermal Design Power (TDP) below 10W (depends on version) and supports 12-30 VDC +/- 20% power consumption for demanding applications. For data acquisition and communication use cases, the KUBER series offers industrial interfaces such as 2x Gb Industrial Ethernet (Intel® i210) - 2x USB 3.0. 32GB (up to 256GB optional) integrated eMMC storage for operating system, application software & data – and a M.2 Key-E (2230) for WIFI connection complete the storage and expansion options. The three new KUBER Series member share the same compact and robust housing, sized 99mm (L) x 63mm (W) x 92 mm (D). KUBER-212A The KUBER-212A provides two isolated GbE LAN ports (Intel® i210) and one BIOS configurable RS-232/422/485 port. The isolated LAN ports make the KUBER-212A suitable for medical applications. KUBER-212B Interfaces like the 2xGbE (Intel® i210), CANbus and 4x GPIO make the KUBER-212B a preferred choice for Automated Guided Vehicles and other transportation devices. KUBER-212D Three additional PoE ports providing 3x10W or 2x15.4 Watt in total 31W which makes the KUBER-212D a perfect fit for vision applications in industrial production or quality assurance, in various industries. The 3x10W or 2x15.4 Watt in total 31W via the PoE slots allow to connect highspeed and high-density cameras to the KUBER to further compute the data and easy transfer to the network or cloud. For use in harsh environments, the KUBER series meets the heavy-industrial requirements of EN 61000-6-4 (EMI) and EN 61000-6-2 (EMS) and the EMS standards IEC 61000-4-4, 4-6, 4-8, which contain extended EFT, CS and PFMF criteria, compared to the general industry standard (EN 61000-6-1). This makes the KUBER series a perfect solution for applications such as plant networking, process monitoring, environmental management and process visualization. On the software side, Windows 10 IoT Enterprise and three Linux (Yocto, Debian and Ubunto) as operating systems, eAPI combined with SGeT’s UIC (Universal IoT Connector) and Microsoft Azure guarantee high flexibility for the use in various IoT applications. The new Intel® Atom™ processors integrate the Intel® Gen 9 3D graphics engine with up to 18 EUs (Execution Units) that improves the performance and supports 4K Codec Decode & Encode. It also supports one dual channel 24bit LVDS connection, one DisplayPort (DP) on rear I/O with resolution up to 4096x2160 and one on-board VGA port with resolution up to 1920x1200. The 204-pin non-ECC SODIMM provides maximum memory, making it capable of supporting up to 8GB of DDR3L. With its superior quad core processing power and high capability, it generates and delivers greater and faster performance than the previous generation. The flat/low-profile design -- measuring 16.4mm in height with I/O shield -- allows space-saving installation in display and panel PCs, making the realization of digital signage and control solutions for industry and business applications a quick and easy task. A significant benefit of this board is that customers using Portwell’s NANO-6062 can design their own unique systems for Medical, Networking, Panel PC, Kiosk and Digital Signage applications. Great Computing Performance and Optimized 3D Graphics The NANO-6062, designed with Apollo Lake Intel Atom processor E3900 series, features one DDR3L 1600/1833 MT/s SODIMM socket equipped with up to 8GB DDR3L memory. It also integrates Intel graphics supporting DirectX 12, OpenGL 4.2, OpenCL 2.0 plus high-performance, flexible hardware decoding to decode multiple high-resolution 4K videos in parallel. In addition, it supports up to 4096x2160 pixels with DisplayPort, 1920x1200 pixels with VGA, and dual channel LVDS up to 1920x1200 pixels, and is designed with the flexibility for connecting up to three independent display interfaces. Support for four USB 3.0 ports ensures fast data transmission with low-power consumption. One 5 Gb/s PCI Express 2.0 lane can be used as 1x full-size mini-PCIe. Two SATA 3.0 interfaces with up to 6 Gb/s (one of them available as mSATA and the other for SATA) allow quick and flexible system expansions.
