Intersocks, a global leader in technical sock manufacturing, has inaugurated a new automated warehouse in Kočevje, Slovenia, marking a key milestone in its strategy to enhance production and logistics operations. This state-of-the-art Autostore warehouse is designed to automate and streamline logistics processes, significantly improving market responsiveness, delivery accuracy, and reducing employee workload.
The Autostore robotic system will enable efficient warehousing and order processing, allowing Intersocks to meet the growing demand both domestically and internationally. This investment follows the recent launch of a new production hall in Kočevje, where the company has acquired advanced sock knitting machines and upgraded its IT infrastructure.
Looking ahead, Intersocks plans to further expand its facilities with the construction of a high-bay warehouse, capable of housing 10,000 to 12,000 pallets. This next phase will further enhance the company’s warehousing capacity and ensure it can manage increasing demand in the global market.
While the value of this latest investment was not disclosed, the company previously announced plans for a €10 million investment in an automated high-bay warehouse.
Intersocks, part of the Swiss-based Arklyz Group, is not only a major player in technical sock manufacturing but also a key distributor of Crocs footwear across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Established in 1992, Intersocks employs 183 people and reported €75 million in revenue and €3.7 million in profit last year.
