The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), in collaboration with the European Union through the Western Balkans Enterprise Development & Innovation Facility (WB EDIF), is providing advisory services to Neho, North Macedonia's second-largest ice cream producer, to help it achieve its next milestones.
From Humble Beginnings to Industry Leader
Neho's shift to ice cream production marked a new era of growth. The company's continuous investment in advanced technology has enabled the development of over 80 unique ice cream products, enjoyed by consumers both domestically and internationally. In 2023, Neho made significant investments to expand its storage and production facilities, incorporating modern production lines to increase capacity, efficiency, and product quality.
Meeting International Standards
Neho exports approximately 70% of its production to the region and EU countries, with the remaining 30% serving the local market. This international reach is a testament to Neho's high standards and ability to meet diverse market demands. To strengthen its market position, Neho is working towards compliance with the International Featured Standards (IFS), crucial for expansion into EU retail chains and bidding on private label contracts.
