Winbro high technology machine systems produce cooling holes and forms in components used in the most demanding part of aero and industrial gas turbines.

Winbro non-conventional machining processes include High Speed EDM Drilling, Laser Drilling, Cutting & Ablation, Electro Chemical Machining, Capillary Drilling and Shaped Tube Electrolytic Machining. Our machine systems can be configured either as single process or dual complimentary process machines, some of which are unique, providing a no compromise solution to industry machining requirements.
The combination of our intimate knowledge of turbine components and expertise in turnkey machining systems is reflected in the creation of WAM (Winbro Advanced Machining). WAM provides our customers with a range of machining facilities which can be used to manufacture production components either ahead of delivery of a new machine, or as an ongoing secondary source of component production. Winbro Advanced Machining (WAM) certifications include ISO9001 2008, AS9100 Rev B, Accreditation with NADCAP for non-conventional processes plus independent accreditation with many of the industry’s blue chip OEM’s.

| Laser Drilling Winbros’ LMC Laser machine has been designed to machine blades, vanes and similar sized components. The LMC system can be configured to allow fitting of the most suitable Laser for the application, the four Laser types generally used are Pulsed High Peak Power Nd:YAG, predominantly for drilling, Continuous Wave CO2 or Fibre Laser for cutting, cladding and welding and High frequency Diode Pumped Nd:YAG for ablation. | |
