Burghardt + Schmidt is an innovative, medium-sized company located in Baden-Württemberg. For over 60 years, B+S has been acknowledged throughout the world as an expert partner in machine and system construction. The company has been in private ownership since it was founded in 1947, and in the course of a successorship agreement, was successfully taken over by the current owners, Messrs Thomas Baral and Achim Kunz.
In the past years following the takeover, the product spectrum has been continuously extended. | Levelling machines B+S high performance levelling machines are designed and developed by us to meet specific customer wishes and requirements. B+S supplies levelling machines with motor-driven roller feeders for single-sheet production and strip levelling machines. | 
| Packaging lines B+S packaging lines represent a consistent enhacement of our slitting lines to avoid bottlenecks when removing rings from the turnstile and increase productivity. Easy handling when unmatching, binding and palleting as well as the safety of the operator are major criteria on our packaging lines.

| Stretch-bend-levelling lines Stretch-bend-levelling represent a technique by which thin and the very thinnest metal strips may be levelled. Due to the superimposition of tension and bending during the levelling process, material parameters such as yield point, elongation, spring back value may be set and internal stress reduced. Even strip form deviations are minimised. | 
| Traversing spoolers B+S traversing spoolers are implemented when slit coils with several coil lengths must be wound. These represent a further element in the optimisation of the production process. In case of small batches, rewinding systems with individual coilers are implemented. | |
