Machining accessories like angle heads contribute to automation if they can be handled by an automatic tool-changer ( ATC ). Examples of angle heads that can are the Slimline angle heads from Gerardi - Alberti / Italy. The Slimline angle heads are for use in hard-to-reach or confined areas and are suitable for light-duty milling and drillingof small-diameter holes. The heads accept NSK micromachining, front-end attachments,as well as extensions. The cartridge collets can hold cutting tools as small asØ 1,6 mm to about Ø 3,175 mm .Also the heads have a maximum input speed of 20.000 rpm. The angle heads are available in two models, an " A " version capable of 1,0 Nm of machining torque and a " B " version capable of 4,0 Nm of machining torque. Also the Slimline heads are avaible in 45° and 90° versions, medical, moulds, valves. They are the ideal for your next aerospace, automotive or other highprecision application.INPUT DRIVE SHANKIso 30 / 40 / 50 din 2080 / din 69871MAS-BT 30 / 40 / 50 CAT 30 / 40 / 50 HSK 63 / 80 / 100

Gerardi S.p.A. Co. was established by Ivano Gerardi Sr. in 1971 with a background of 20 years experience in all kinds of machine shop throughout and The company started as subcontractor surface grinding specialzing in precision guideways. After 2 years due to the down market situation the company developed the product which has given it international worldwide success: the steel modular vise.
The company has recently moved into a new 4.000 m2 building (roughly 44.000 square feet) of which 1.500 (16.500) of offices spaces in close proximity to the new Milan Intercontinental Airport Malpensa 2000.
Today the Company is the largest Italian vise manufacturer, one of the leaders in Europe and the quality of its products and solutions have been developed and known all over the world.
Since 1986 Gerardi has established a worldwide sales of Angular Heads for traditional machine tools and machining centers and of Live Tooling for C.N.C. lathes. Such products have been developed in close partnership with the Alberti Co.
Angular Heads and Driven Tool
Using its well known image and its selling channels together with worldwide marketing efforts, the company began trading and brought a little Italian company to grow from few pieces production to thousands and its technologies to be known and sold all over the world.
Today the best markets for this products are , and and the final users are the best known companies in their own sectors (Rolls Royce, Ferrari, Boeing).
During the eighties Gerardi, in order to better and increase the manufacturing process, had to develope its own Grinding machine, unable to find the right one on the market. A totally new concept was at the base of the project: wheel change, cover wheel change, two tables (1 for working, 1 for loading and unloading), orientable C.N.C. wheelhead. Later on the creep-feed technology has been developed. AOnce again, after the beginning scepticism, the choice revealed winning and since then the research and development of the grinding technologies have never stopped. The Co. gradually changed its production organization leaving the milling, drilling and tapping operations to subcontract companies concentrating itself on the grinding operation: the most important as regards added value and to ensure precision and reliable delivery times. Furthermore this company division has grown and has also started to sell such machines on the market receiving
