Henkel has officially opened a new €10 million production facility in Maribor, Slovenia, bolstering its European Centre of Excellence for hair colorants. This significant investment, partially funded by €2.1 million from European funds, underscores Henkel's commitment to expanding its production capabilities in Europe.
Strategic Investment and Opening Ceremony
The inauguration of this state-of-the-art facility was announced by Gregor Majcen, director of Henkel’s Slovenian subsidiary, during an opening ceremony attended by Slovenia’s Economy Minister, Matjaž Han. Minister Han emphasized the importance of this investment for Slovenia’s future development, highlighting the strategic partnership between Germany and Slovenia and the increasing attractiveness of Slovenia to foreign investors. “We supported this project with European funds as we believe this direction of development is a great opportunity not just for Maribor, but for the entire country,” stated Minister Han.
Enhancing Production and Employment
This new facility represents the largest single investment in the Maribor site in three decades and is set to significantly boost Henkel’s production volumes and employment opportunities. The expansion is expected to enhance Henkel’s production capabilities, strengthening both its global and local market presence.
A Milestone for Henkel in Slovenia
Henkel's investment in Maribor not only enhances its operational capacity but also marks a pivotal point in its long-term strategy to maintain and grow its leadership in the hair colorants sector. This development reflects Henkel’s ongoing commitment to innovation and excellence in production.
