Romanian PVC Window Manufacturer Barrier Invests in New EUR 2 Million Factory to Enhance Export Capabilities
Barrier, a Bacău-based Romanian enterprise specializing in the production of doors and windows and owned by the Gârmacea family, is channeling EUR 2 million into the construction of a new manufacturing facility, anticipated to be operational in the first half of this year.
In 2024, Barrier is set to substantially increase its international market footprint. This strategic move comes in response to the current challenging business climate in Romania, which includes market uncertainty, a lack of continuous building thermal rehabilitation programs, and the prevailing price levels.
Adrian Gârmacea, an entrepreneur and spokesperson for Barrier, expressed the company’s intent to focus on and strengthen its position in foreign markets. "In light of Romania's challenging market conditions, we are redirecting our efforts towards expanding and solidifying our presence in international markets. We aim to significantly boost our engagement in the European market, making it a key element in our sales strategy," Gârmacea stated, as reported by Ziarul Financiar.
Barrier is targeting key European markets, including the Netherlands, Great Britain, and Germany, building upon its existing presence in Belgium, Switzerland, and Hungary, where it operates through franchises. Additionally, Barrier has a market presence in other countries such as France, Austria, Italy, and regions outside Europe, including North Africa and the Middle East, albeit without franchise support.
