German retailers will have access to the premium bikes by the summer with a planned delivery of the fully assembled bikes in the region through an agreement made with the European distribution partners.
Pivot Cycles made moves to increase its dominance in the European market in 2015 by engaging the services of Volker Knaus, the company whose support has been vital for the entrance of Pivot Cycles into the European market. From humble beginnings which started with a small show featuring only 15 demo bikes showcased from a big van in 2015, The Company has grown into a formidable team promoting the sales of Pivot Cycles in Germany.
US, Taiwan and German Market Reports
Pivot Cycles EU GmbH now employs eight permanent staff and many part-time employees. The bikes are assembled in Germany where proper measures have been taken to ensure that high-quality control standards are met during the production process. In view of bringing the European assembly line closer to the market, the company recruited an experienced bicycle assembler located in Bad Salzuflen near Bielefeld. From this assembly plant, the bikes are shipped to other parts of Europe. In total, Pivot Cycles now assembles and ships its bike from the three locations the US, Germany, and Taiwan which have assembly plants and adequate warehouses.
Marketing and sales operations
The company’s marketing and sales operations are coordinated from Pivot Cycles office located in Stuttgart. The team has been enhanced with the employment of five new staff to support the European marketing operations. To cover the market in Europe, over 70 demo bikes are used for marketing purposes under the guidance of Matthias Sandbrink who also handles the technical issues in the company’s new service offices.
