The EBRD has announced its plans to provide a €4.5 million loan to Biomashinostroene, a leading Bulgarian manufacturer and exporter of steel equipment for the food-processing, pharmaceutical and chemical industries. The company plans to expand its operations by investing the expected funds in the relevant areas. Biomashinostroene currently exports over 90% of its products to more than twenty countries in Europe and the Middle East. Its customers include some of the world’s largest engineering companies such as Tetra Pak and GEA, as well as multinational food companies such as Nestle, and Ferrero.
Biomashinostroene has increased its efforts to expand its manufacturing and storage capacity in view of meeting the rising demand for its services. The company is investing in three assembly workshops and warehouses. It will be an expansion aimed at enhancing the manufacturing process while enabling the proper handling of all orders for large and complex equipment.
The company’s investment program which is scheduled to last for the next six years is aimed at increasing production and sales by as much as 50 percent.
