Gniezno, mid-western, Poland will see the establishment of a new subsidiary of Toshiba Carrier Corporation. The Japanese company has announced that the subsidiary will produce heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) products.
Toshiba have investment 2billion Japanese yen (approx (€24.7-million) as part of its continued enhancement of its presence within the EU.
Across Europe there has been an increased demand for HVAC particularly heat pumps, air to water equipment and other alternatives to conventional heating methods.
With the opening of the new facility in Poland Toshiba Carrier will be able to increase its product range, reduce production costs and decrease lead time by 33%.
The company is taking advantage of the experienced workforce in the area as well as incentives to invest in the region. Add this to the easy access to the markets within the EU and it is clear to see why the company has decided to establish its European base in Poland.
