In its bid to join the new market for electric cars Jaguar Land Rover has made plans to move its production operations for its Land Rover Discovery SUV to Slovakia. The new factories will be enhanced to include innovative tools suitable for the production of the new generation electric cars. The new production factory will also include plants where gasoline and diesel versions of the Land Rover Discovery will be manufactured. It is expected that a formal announcement will soon be made to confirm these reports as plans are still underway to make the necessary arrangements for this significant move by the biggest car maker in Britain. Unfortunately, it is expected that jobs will be lost at the old Solihull plant because of this move expected to happen early in 2019.
