The Russian DIY and building materials chain Petrovich has increased its net sales in the year 2020 by 23.07 per cent to RUB 73.5 bn (EUR 810 mio). According to the market research company Infoline, this makes the trading company the fastest growing and largest domestic DIY retailer in the country. Petrovich currently operates 20 stores. This growth can be attributed to an increase in demand for home improvement products as well as renovation projects due to the COVID-19 pandemic. With Russians looking for ways to improve their homes without leaving them, retailers like Petrovich are likely to continue seeing significant growth

Online sales rose by 73 per cent compared to the previous year, in Moscow it almost doubled (plus 97 per cent). The number of deliveries overall grew by 30 per cent to three million units.
