Solaris, the Polish manufacturer of electric coaches and buses, has receiving received three large orders making it the largest electric bus company in Europe.  The orders, from three European cities, will see 470 buses produced by Solaris in their factory near Poznana.  Alongside another 95 vehicles already commissioned by smaller towns Solaris now enjoys a 25% share of the market for electric buses within Europe. 

The company’s Urbino bus fleet has risen dramatically from just 240 five years ago to 3,500 Urbino model buses in operation today across Europe.
