Russia will probably again postpone the starting date for higher timber export duties. Now it should be 2011. It is a result of sa crisis, that heavily impacted the russian wood processing industry. The planned fast development of new facilities for wood processing is going very slowly. With planned high expoert taxes there would be no international market for russian round wood. The taxes were planned to be increased from 2009. Even that the export taxes were canceled, the fact of existence of such plane have a strong impact to russian wood market.
