Sisterna, which supplies sucrose esters to the food industry, is looking to build on the new growth potential offered in Eastern Europe and the Baltic.

The ingredients supplier has appointed two new distributors; Bang & Bonsomer, for Finland and the Baltic, and Barentz for Central and Eastern Europe (CEE).

The company said the markets in CEE and the Baltic have matured to the extent that demand for specialty ‘niche’ ingredients is now commercially interesting.

Market growth in the CEE region has already led to the extension of the distributor network for personal care ingredients at Sisterna.

On the back of this successful move and increasing demand in the food business, Sisterna decided to increase its distribution network for food ingredients.
