In the fiscal year 2022, the bilateral trade activity connecting Germany and Romania reached a noteworthy EUR 40.68 billion. This marked a robust 17% year-on-year escalation, firmly establishing Germany as Romania's preeminent commercial collaborator. The Ministry of Economy, Entrepreneurship, and Tourism (MEAT) of Romania conveyed this significant development.
On August 16, Romania's Minister of Economy, Čtefan-Radu Oprea, engaged in discussions with the German Ambassador to Bucharest, Peer Olav Gebauer. The deliberations were strategically oriented towards elevating the scope of bilateral economic cooperation. The shared objectives encompass the attraction of German investments into Romania and the facilitation of local enterprises endeavoring to initiate and advance projects within the German landscape.
