SYMMETRICA, the leading local manufacturer of vibropressed concrete pavers and kerbs, has announced a significant investment of €7 million in the establishment of its first factory in the South-East region of Romania. Located in Ovidiu town, Constanta county, this new production unit marks an important milestone for the company.
Spanning across a 50,000 square meter plot of land, the state-of-the-art Symmetrica production hall covers an area of 3,500 square meters. It will serve as the manufacturing hub for a range of products, including paving stones, kerbs, garden elements, and masonry. The factory in Ovidiu will have a monthly production capacity of over 100,000 units, contributing to a total output of 4,000 linear/square meters per day for the company.
Sebastian Bobu, CEO of SYMMETRICA, expressed the strategic significance of entering the South-East region, emphasizing the area's growth potential in both public and private projects. The company's expansion into this region also demonstrates its commitment to actively supporting local communities, mirroring the efforts already undertaken in other locations where SYMMETRICA operates.
The Constanta county factory boasts modern and fully automated production lines, featuring advanced technology. The facility will employ more than 35 highly skilled workers. Despite the complexity of the technological processes involved, the operations can be efficiently managed by a team of 5-6 individuals per shift, benefitting from the advantages of factory automation that facilitate the employees' work.
With the addition of the new Ovidiu factory, SYMMETRICA now operates a total of nine production units throughout Romania. The existing facilities are situated in VereČti (Suceava), Podul Iloaiei (Iasi), Bolintin Vale (Ilfov), Prejmer (Brasov), Cociu (Bistrita NÄsÄud), MÄrÄČeČti (Vrancea), Zimandu Nou (Arad), and Solca (Suceava). This continued investment reflects SYMMETRICA's commitment to expanding its production capacity, incorporating cutting-edge technologies, and enhancing the quality, design, and color options of its products.
