Regra Plast S.R.O., a Czech plastics processor, has recently announced plans to expand its waste recycling capacity with a brand-new facility. The company, which currently recycles a wide variety of plastics and polymers at DobromÄĹice, near the German border, is re-portedly planning to construct its new plant in Obora, a town just east of the city of Louny.
The plans submitted by Regra Plast reveal the new facility will be able to process some 8,600 tonnes per year. It will be located on the Brownfield Development, the site of a former farm. Once approved by Czech environmental authorities, the facility is expected to boast a large processing hall with three recycling lines and 1,800m2 warehouse.
The new operation will be just a stone’s throw away from Regra Plast’s Obora plastic-moulding plant, but is expected to create some 18 production jobs and an estimated nine office and laboratory positions. The submitted plans indicate that the site is sched-uled to process polypropylene, polyethylene, and ABS industrial plastics that are com-monly generated by automobiles.
Aside from reducing rough ground plastic waste, Regra Plast already produces high-quality polymer regranulate in a wide range of recyclable plastics, most of which are used for injection moulding.
The new facility will join a third Obora-based Regra Plast plant, Eureko, which manufac-tures PP and PE plastics for construction, roofing, and more.
