Uflex, which is a multinational flexible packaging producer, is making an investment of over EUR70m in building a new plant in Hungary which would be its second facility in Europe. The Hungarian government has announced that a contribution of EUR 8.7m will be made.

The factory in Rétság plans on producing a new variant of foil from the year 2020 which will pave the way for170 new jobs. When operating at full capacity, Uflex is capable of supplying 50000 t/y film products to the European customers.
The other European facility of Uflex is in Poland where it covers an area of 8.7m extensive BOPET film line. It operates on 500m/min with the production of 30,000 t/y of the film which is aided by high barrier metalliser enhanced by plasma.
