German EPS Engineering Consulting, one of EU's largest engineering companies, is building a large complex for the production of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) in Russia.
The plant will have a capacity of 180,000 tonnes of PET per annum and total the volume of investments is estimated at RUB 10.26bn (€250m). The commissioning of the new plant is scheduled for the end of 2014.
This is not the first large investment project announced in the Russian PET industry in recent months.
Earlier this year Sibur announced plans to increase PET production in the country from the current 200,000 tonnes to 300,000 tonnes by the end of 2013. |
