The new Integrated Delivery Centre (IDC) will provide high-value information technology services to clients headquartered in Europe. Wroclaw was selected as it offers an outstanding combination of technical skills and European language capability that is necessary to meet local, international and global clients' needs.
It will join a global network of IBM IT service delivery centres which monitor, maintain and support computer infrastructure and manage IT services for thousands of IBM clients around the world.
"We chose Wroclaw as the location for the new centre because it provides a unique mix of linguistic skills, technical talent and an environment which is conducive for business development," said Anna SieĹko, Country General Manager of Poland. "As a globally integrated company, IBM taps into the best talent around the world to help our clients differentiate and transform their businesses."

IBM will expand its workforce in Wroclaw by hiring technology graduates and IT professionals with skills in IT infrastructure and major European languages. It will also be hiring project managers. To support its recruitment program, IBM will work closely with universities in the Wroclaw area and elsewhere in Poland to help enhance curricula and better prepare students for opportunities in the information technology industry.
The centre is planned to be operational on Spring 2010.
