Baliarne obchodu, a.s. Poprad, the leading tea and coffee supplier in Slovakia has taken advantage of  advanced x-ray technology  by installing the Ishide IX-EN-2493 x-ray m machine at it's plant.  As a result complaints regarding stones in coffee beans have stopped.

In coffee production finding stones in the coffee beans is a very common issue and although Baliarne's quality control procedures are rigorous customers were still complaining about stones being present because the company's magnetic separators and de-stoning machine had not been able to eliminate them.  From a consumer perspective these stones can cause damage to grinders and espresso machines.

Before the x-ray inspection system the company relied on human checks for stones and inevitably they were not able to detect them all, which was resulting in customer complaints.  To solve the issue Baliarne, who had been using Ishida's weighing equipment, approached the company for a solution.  It seems that they have more than delivered.
