At an event marking Kirchhoff Hungária’s 15th year in Hungary, the owner Wolfgang Kirchhoff announced that the company has closed a HUF 5 billion investment which has added 3,300 square meters to the plant in Esztergom. The plant will now start to make parts for the Mercedes C-class.
Daimler has replaced Suzuki as the plant's biggest partner but the plant will also be supplying the Hungarian Audi and PSA plants. Within the EU it will be supplying the VW, PSA and Kia plants in Slovakia, the Porche and BMW plants in Germanic, Ford within Romania and the
Czech Republic’s Škoda and Hyundai plant. The company is already preparing to offer its services to the newly planned BMW plant in Debrecen.
Since opening the Kirchhoff has invested HUF 32 billion in its plant in Esztergom plant 15 years ago there has been a total investment of HUF 32billion. The plant employs 940 people.
