Juodeliai, the Lithuanian wood production company, has announced that it is starting to construct a new production facility in the Southern Lithuanian town of Marijampole. According to the Verslo Xinios business daily, the opening of this world level plant will double it’s production capacity.
The company has purchased 20 hectares of land near near the Marijampole FEZ, and has already started work on the plant. The total value of investment is anticipated to be around €40million.
Andrius Zimnickas, CEO at Juodeliai announced that this plant will be the world’s fastest production line and it’s annual production is expected to be in the region of 1 million cubic meters of packaging materials.
Juodelai is a key producer in Lithuania, employing more than 400 people across three facilities. The company has seen an increase in sales revenue by 26% last year, bringing it to €46milliion, with its production volume increase by 3.2% to 229,000 m3.
The company is owned by Juozupas Zimnickas and Asta Zimnickiene.
