“James has worked in the international plastics industry for over 20 years and has built up a wealth of knowledge. He also has a clear strategic view for the growth of sales in key markets,” said Jon Butler, Managing Director.
“The focus of the new position will be significant sales growth in Germany, Eastern Europe, India, Brazil, China and the USA, to which James’ dynamism, enthusiasm, considerable sales experience and multi-lingual capabilities will be invaluable,” adds Mr Butler.
Jenkinson, who is fluent in French, German and speaks some Spanish, will use all of his language skills to develop markets within his remit.
Jenkinson says: “OEMs are increasingly keen to take full advantage of advanced technologies to add value in their supply chain. There are tremendous opportunities for Cinpres as brand leader globally. Our immediate task is to further strengthen our sales channels to provide unbeatable service to our worldwide customer base.
“An exciting time is ahead, with new technologies, products and services on the way, especially in foam and water applications,” he added.
Mr Jenkinson is based near Wrexham, UK and will operate from the company’s headquarters in Middlewich, Cheshire.
Company History
Company History
The CINPRES (Controlled Internal Pressure) Gas Assisted Moulding process was developed at Tamworth Mouldings, (a small family run Structural Foam injection moulding company), in the early 1980s as a method of producing “high hollow” parts with an injection moulded surface finish.
The CINPRES (Controlled Internal Pressure) Gas Assisted Moulding process was developed at Tamworth Mouldings, (a small family run Structural Foam injection moulding company), in the early 1980s as a method of producing “high hollow” parts with an injection moulded surface finish. CINPRES Ltd was set up in 1984 to License and develop the technology for the global injection moulding industry, a task that is still on going today with over 5000 companies using CINPRES technology around the world and across numerous industrial segments.
Licensing:
Cinpres UK Limited offers the Patented PEP (Plastic Expulsion Process) under license to its customers. Licenses can be purchased for individual mould tools designed to use the PEP process or for each Cinpres Gas Controller that will run PEP tools.
In the early 1980's a privately owned injection molding company based in Tamworth, England, started the development of a new plastics processing technology that would, over the next 20 years, revolutionise the way plastic injection molded parts were designed and manufactured.
The process involved injecting a "controlled" quantity of an inert gas (Nitrogen) under pressure, directly into a plastic melt, to form continuous "hollow" channels throughout the part. The process known as "Controlled Internal Pressure” moldings became the acronym for the company name "CINPRES".
Commercial production of plastic moldings using the new Cinpres technology started in 1984 and one year later the company Cinpres Limited was formed to commercially develop and license the technology on a global basis.
In 1992, Gas Injection Limited was formed, with the express intention of making the technology more user-friendly, from both a technological and commercial viewpoint.
Over the next nine years both companies continued to develop specific areas of the technology with Cinpres concentrating on application development activities in Europe and the USA, and GIL specialising in the development and manufacture of a new generation of world-leading gas injection equipment.
In 2001 both companies were brought together in a merger following acquisition of GIL by Cinpres' parent company BI Group to utilise the "synergy" of both organisations and create the world's market leading company in Gas Assisted Molding (GAM) technology.
The new company, led by Managing Director Jon Butler, has brought together a team of plastics professionals with over 100 years of experience in plastic processing, and with the stated aim of continuously developing both equipment and process technologies to ensure that Cinpres Gas Injection Limited offers its customers the best equipment, service and design engineering support in the industry.
The company has the widest product range in the market and is the longest established brand in the assisted injection molding industry.
Cinpres world leading gas controllers are supported by an extensive range of nitrogen gas generation systems. All Cinpres products are designed and manufactured with quality, reliability and precision as standard. Customers with just one machine or up to 40 machines involved in gas molding are being supplied with high-pressure nitrogen.
Cinpres offers customers a continuing before and after sales service, including training in the design of gas moldings, operation of the equipment, and in applying the process correctly. Cinpres aims to ensure that all of their customers have the necessary "hands on" initial training and support to ensure that the technology can be "seamlessly integrated" into a customers' manufacturing process with the shortest of learning curves. GAM Ancillaries - Cinpres offers a full range of ancillaries for gas molding, including in-mold and in-nozzle gas injectors.
Cinpres has established a worldwide network of Distributors and Agents and has established a leading position in Europe, South East Asia, North America and Pacific Rim countries. Distributors employ engineers trained by Cinpres to provide a local technical service.
In Germany, Cinpres' associate, Stieler Kunststoff Service based in Goslar, offers comprehensive services to the extensive German molding industry. SKS works in partnership with Cinpres to bring new technologies to the marketplace which offer substantial benefits for their customers. Cinpres continually adds new versions of GAM and other injection molding processes.
Cinpres UK headquarters, and the base for all equipment manufactured, is at Prosperity Court, Prosperity Way, Middlewich, Cheshire, CW10 0GD, United Kingdom.
